Meet Diane Keller: The Woman Behind the Message

Determination In Her Blood
Diane Keller had always wanted to be successful. She was raised in Andrews, a small town in South Carolina, and dreamed of having the money to buy the things she needed. Her college degree in Psychology was earmed through sheer determination and a lot of faith. Diane talks about writing the check for her college tuition and miraculously getting the funds to cover the check just before it cleared the bank.

Getting Into Real Estate
Later, while living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Diane started dreaming again…this time of owning real estate – a house on the beach and one in the mountains. She took no action on that dream, however, until she moved to the mountains of North Carolina, where she became a licensed real estate broker and bought her very first home.

The second year in real estate, she exceeded her sales goal…and just as she was thinking that the sky was the limit…1986 tax reform hit…and her sky started falling. Not to be defeated, Diane moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida and began selling real estate there. Before long, she was again breaking all the records but she never forgot about what happened in 1986…and knew that she needed another source of income to supplement her real estate sales commissions.

Investing: A Great Source of Additional Income
In 1996, a friend of Diane’s told her about a real estate acquisition seminar for investors. She reluctantly attended…and the rest is history. Diane became so excited about having another source of income that she signed a contract to buy her first property at that seminar. Diane’s first investment goal was simple: to buy one property for each of her children to provide the money for their college educations. She quickly realized that she absolutely loved finding, buying, and renovating houses, and by the time she had purchased one house per child, she was hooked. She bought every property she could and developed a list of other real estate investors who also sought properties.

Real Estate Investments… Sprout Their Own Wings
Soon after, she and her investors began buying any property that met their investment criteria. Her investment plan was to buy and hold everything she bought. As Diane started thinking about maintaining that many properties, she began branching into renovating and then re-selling some of the properties for profit. She had grown – over time – from, no income…to three streams of income.
